It's not difficult to know when you have a problem with your car or your furnace – it won’t start or you have no heat!
Yet, as a small business leader, do you know if you have a kingdom problem?
If you claim to be a Christ-follower, you cannot afford to ignore this question.
Jesus was clear that we are all seeking a kingdom. The question is: which kingdom are you seeking? As a small business leader, are you seeking the kingdom of self or the kingdom of Jesus? Reflect on these 9 kingdom questions:
Are you preoccupied with getting or giving?
Is your life, at work and at home, focused on blessing people? Making disciples?
Are your business financials focused on serving others or “storing up treasures” for you?
Are your marketing and sales efforts focused on helping people find the help they truly need or is it focused on trying to sell something they are not seeking?
Are you tolerating poor business practices that create wear and tear on your team, your suppliers, and your customers?
Is your business vision part of a bigger picture? Does it inspire you--and your team--on a Monday morning?
Is your leadership of team and culture one of inviting growth in character and blessing?
What motivates your business leadership? Love or fear?
Do you see your products and or services as a way to bless people?
Whose kingdom are you seeking?
A Deliberate Application:
Reflect on Matthew 6:31-34 NLT and the 9 questions.
What are you sensing Him ask of you as you ponder the reality of His kingdom vs. yours?
Where may you be resisting? What fear may this be highlighting?
Who can you share this with?
