You know how it works. Let the fire burn down, throw no fuel on it and eventually it will go out. Dying embers, no spark, nothing!
When was the last time you became aware that you have nothing more to fuel the fire of your own leadership…..of self, of business or of home?
When was the last time it dawned on you that you cannot manage a person, a client, a team member, a situation, a family member? When is the last time you realized that the outcome you’ve been looking for, at work or at home, is far from your reach? When is the last time you received the gift of knowing that you cannot make it happen on your own strength?
When was the last time?
At some point, if you are serious in your Christ-focused mission, you will be “invited to hit the wall”. At that point, if you are willing, you will face the fact that you have nothing left to bring. It is in that very moment that the fullness of “grace & truth” John 1:14 NIV will have the needed space to break in and do the “Kingdom” work that God has for you.
The apostle Paul hit this point home in Galatians 2:20 MSG.
The gift of having nothing-you-can-do-to-make-“something”-happen offers freedom on the other side of receiving the gift.

- Where may you be caught in trying to “make something” happen at work or at home?
- Where may your egocentric ways need to be shut down….. your compulsions for control, for appearing righteous, for driving to impress self, God and others?
- Are you willing to quit stoking the fires of being a “self-made” leader so that you can be the leader God has called you to be?
- Who can you share this with?
