Our last 3 blogs have invited you to reflect on your leadership of yourself and your team from 3 perspectives, asking ARE YOU operating with:
What do you see as you reflect on these 3 words and the way you lead yourself and your team?
Now you have a decision to make that will determine whether your business is a remarkable place to work or not! Leading yourself and your team well is a matter of passion, clarity, focus…and choice!
- Passion about what’s truly possible – not just wishful thinking.
- Clarity—crystal clarity on what's most important.
- Focus – laser focus on the right next steps for you and your team.
You must decide to operate in these ways. As the old saying goes…
So what do you think…can or can’t? Do you believe you can lead your business and your team with deliberate passion, clarity and focus? Your answer to this question will have a profound impact on you, your workplace, and those you find and keep on your team.
If you believe (think) you can move your team with passion, clarity and focus, this is a major step towards creating a remarkable workplace, and finding and keeping great people.
Here are 6 additional practical steps that demonstrate your choice to operate with passion, clarity and focus:
- Be the CEO. As an owner or senior leader, you are the Chief Engagement Officer!
- Bake your business’ purpose and values into everything you do. Ensure that everyone is growing in their capacity to be an ambassador.
- Build trust! It’s work to build it…and takes no time to lose it.
- Deliberately help your team grow and engage.
- Your team needs to “win”. Ensure they have the necessary “winning” metrics for a healthy team and a healthy business.
- Recruit like a Sales & Marketing Executive. Do not delegate this role!

- What are you sensing God ask of you?
- Who can you share this with?
